Help your kids to the front of the jobs queue
As parents we want to help our children choose a career in which they’re happy and can succeed. But it can be a complicated and confusing business, and with all the recent changes in the worlds of work and education it can be hard to give our young people the most up to date advice.
Luckily for us the UK’s largest skills and careers event is free to attend and just on our doorstep at the NEC in Birmingham. Running for three days from 14th to 16th November 2013 the ‘Skills Show’ gives you and your family a free, fun day out.
Suitable for ages eight and above, the event features opportunities to
- try bite-sized tasters of work-related skills
- speak with employers about job and training opportunities
- receive specialist advice
- hear industry speakers
- watch skills performances and competitions
The Skills Show is supported by the Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund, with premier sponsorship from City & Guilds, Edge Foundation and Premier Colleges.
