Since the Staffordshire Community Arts Fund opened it’s new round of funding in March 2013, it has helped to support up to 40 arts projects county wide.
The funding is available for any arts organisation or community group to run an arts project or event in Staffordshire which benefits the wider community.
So far this year, projects have included festivals and carnivals, singing and drama workshops for those with learning difficulties, inter-generational arts projects, singing sessions to improve health & wellbeing of dementia sufferers & their carers, poetry, crafts, dance and music workshops.
Many exciting projects are yet to take place this year and organisations are still able to apply for up to £800 towards the cost of their activity or event until 20th December 2013.
The Community Arts Fund is one way the County Council supports groups and organisations that have the imagination and enthusiasm to take projects out into the local community and involve others.
Activities funded through this scheme can dramatically improve and enhance the quality of lives of many.
