Thousands of eligible parents in Staffordshire have already signed up to receive 15 hours free childcare a week, but there are still places left.
Take up in Staffordshire for the funded places for two year olds is one of the highest in the country, thanks in part to the county council’s commitment to funding only childcare providers that have been rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
The county council is also one of only a few in the country offering an online self- checking tool for parents to check their eligibility and then apply.
The online service allows parents to fill information about their income and benefits and find out if they are eligible straight away.
Do you still need to be convinced that free early learning can help your two year old’s development, or that the extra time it can help you into training or work?
Watch the short video above to hear from parents and our childcare providers.
Think there’s a catch?
There isn’t. You just have to be eligible. You can use the 15 hours over the whole year – not just term time.
